About Us
Heart disease is the #1 killer of women. Established in 2008, Makeover My Heart is a 501(c)3 not for profit organization, and part of the Slocum Dickson Educational Institute. Each year, we host a sell-out event that welcomes more than 325 women for a day of education and fun. From lectures to interactive clinics, Makeover My Heart offers a uniquely innovative learning experience that provides women with the tools necessary for achieving and maintaining their ideal heart health.
Founded in 2008, our mission is to:
Raise community awareness about heart disease by hosting an annual educational program.
Provide ongoing support and information to women at risk for or living with heart disease.
Empower women to be advocates for their own heart health and provide the tools and information necessary towards achieving their goals.
